How twisted is this?

A Pennsylvania judge gave a rapist a slap on the wrist for raping a woman he drugged into semi-unconsciousness because the nature of his work is important. What could the nature of his work be? Is he on the verge of curing AIDS? Cancer? Nope. He works with stroke and brain injury patients.

Hmmm. He has been convicted of raping a woman who was incapacitated. He works with stroke and brain injury victims. Hmmm. I can’t be the only one who sees a frightening correlation between the two.

“By raping me, he took something from me that I will never get back,” sobbed the woman, whose name is being withheld by the Daily News. “It will affect me for the rest of my life, and I don’t want this to happen to other women.”

The judge, apparently, doesn’t feel it necessary to protect other women, especially the ones who are incapacitated by a stroke or brain injury, from this jerk.

Being from PA originally, I can see how the irrational and unreasonable ruling comes from there… it is totally absurd - and makes me sad to be from there…

I did read that he disregarded the sentencing guidelines, right?

The article says the judge, “ignored sentencing guidelines calling for five-to-11 years in prison.”

Well, maybe the judge thinks there is some doubt as to whether or not stroke and brain injury victims have sufficient cognitive abilities to be considered true persons. Until we’re absolutely sure, it should be completely legal to rape them.
