The Quotable Mark
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Just yesterday I was meditating on this. I tend to over analyze, and think too much about decisions. But that takes time, an unrenewable resource. If I believe in the power of the grace of God, and that it is indeed sufficient, then I will rely on it more heavily and strike out and do whatever it is I am deliberating about. More harm can come from waiting “to be sure” than going ahead with it even if it means making a few mistakes.
Now all this, of course, is true in the context of true love for God. Because grace is only for those who love God. It doesn’t mean that I can just do whatever I want without regard to anyone. But grace is given, and the worst sin in the world is not accepting a free gift from a perfect Son of God.
