Fox, 24 and Stanley Cohen

I was going to blog about CAIR’s meeting with Fox about 24’s unrealistic choice of Muslim terrorists for this season’s bad guys until I read this:

After his arrest, Royer sought legal counsel from Hamas lawyer Stanley Cohen, who said after 9-11 he would consider serving as a defense lawyer for Osama bin Laden if the al-Qaida leader were captured.

I haven’t paid much attention, though the name rings familiar, to Stanley Cohen. It just strikes me that he is defending people who, given half a chance, would try to kill him because (in case he isn’t aware) he’s Jewish. And American.

Go figure.

I’m not watching 24 this season anyway, so I guess I don’t really care what they do with the plot…not that after seeing the first few episodes anyone has any idea of how it will end. A lot can happen in 24 hours.
