Religion in the post office? Horrors!

I was in line at the post office today, and surprised to see a local preacher on the television. Usually they have a major news channel or the community bulletin board channel that broadcasts a local radio station. At the time I was in the post office, though, the community bulletin board channel was broadcasting the local preacher (video and audio). I could tell that it was really annoying some people in line, others probably didn’t mind so much. When I got to the counter, to a woman I believe is Christian, I told her I liked the TV station. She shrugged and said that it is usually their music channel, but it switched to the preacher. She also said loudly enough for people in line to hear, “You can change it if you like.” A woman in line interjected, “That would be nice!” There was hostility in her voice. As I was walking out of the post office, I heard her say something like, “Whoever heard of religion in the post office?!” I don’t know if she was speaking to anyone in particular or not, but she seemed quite…intolerant. As I got in my car and began to drive away, the good comebacks began to fill my mind. Has she not seen the stamps celebrating holidays of major religions? It makes me sad how hostile secular humanism has compelled people to become regarding any devotional ascent to God.
