Adult stem cells have already helped the lame to walk and the blind to see. I didn’t know this — did you know this? Embryonic stem cells have apparently only given mice tumors. If adult stem cells have proven to be useful and effective and that is where most of the private research resources are being spent, what’s all the embryonic stem cell hubbub about? What can be attained by the unethical practice of snuffing out life in embryonic stem cell research that cannot be matched by the current research on adult stem cells? Is such effective treatment with adult stem cells and a lack of success with embryonic stem cells common knowledge? I’m prepared to be informed of just how out of touch I have been…hoping I can somehow blame it on the extremely rare good weather we’ve been having.
